Main Street After Hours Brookville, IN
September 17 (3rd Friday evening of each month) Music Dining Specials Fun for allBrookville comes alive every 3rd Friday of the month when the town celebrates "Main Street After Hours". These monthly events showcase local restaurants, taverns and shops on Main Street and the surrounding community. "Main Street After Hours" was designed to provide simple and safe events for both locals and tourists in a family-friendly environment. Most evenings feature live music around town and special promotions by individual merchants. Brookville is nestled between the East and West forks of the Whitewater River, is one mile south of Brookville lake, and is only eight miles from Historic Metamora and the Whitewater Canal. Thousands of visitors come to Brookville each year to enjoy fishing, hiking, boating, canoeing and the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. However, the 200-year-old town may best be known as the Capital of Fried Chicken, a local delicacy featured at over 31 restaurants/pubs in the area. If you are in the Brookville area on the 3rd Friday of the month, come to "Main Street After Hours", a safe and simple event in a small town environment.
